Testimonials
Testimonials shows customer quotes in a horizontal slider. Each quote is a Testimonial block with an author, an optional role, an avatar, and a star rating. Add it from Add section under Storytelling.
Add the section
- In the theme editor, open the page where you want the testimonials.
- Click Add section, then choose Testimonials under Storytelling.
- The section loads with a header and three sample quotes. Edit them, then add or remove Testimonial blocks in the section's blocks.
When the section holds more than one Testimonial block, slider dots appear so visitors can move between quotes. A single quote sits on its own with no dots.
Section header
The text above the slider lives in a content slot, not in section settings. Open it in the section's blocks to edit the eyebrow and heading, or remove them to show the quotes on their own. See Sections, blocks, and groups for how content slots work.
Layout
- Gap: the space between testimonials in the slider, in pixels.
Testimonial blocks
Each quote is its own Testimonial block. Add, reorder, or remove them in the section's blocks. Each block has these settings.
- Quote: the testimonial text. This is a rich text field, so you can italicize or bold words inside it.
- Style: how an emphasized word inside the quote is treated. None leaves it plain, Color tints it with the accent color, and Shimmer gives it a moving sheen. To emphasize a word, italicize it in the Quote field.
- Author: the name shown under the quote.
- Role: a line under the author, for a job title, company, or location. Leave it empty to hide it.
- Avatar: a photo shown beside the byline. Leave it empty to show the name on its own. A square image gives the cleanest round crop.
- Show rating: turns the row of stars on or off above the quote.
- Rating: the number of filled stars, from 1 to 5. This appears only when Show rating is on.
Common settings
This section also uses the standard Color, Padding, Margin, and Visibility controls. See Common section settings.
Tips
- Keep quotes short. One or two sentences read better in the slider than a full paragraph, and similar lengths keep the cards even.
- Use the same Style across every testimonial for a consistent row.
- Avatars are optional. A set of quotes without photos still reads as a clean row, so leave Avatar empty if you do not have headshots.
