Featured collections

Featured collections shows a row or grid of collections you pick, each as a card linking to that collection, under a heading. It lives under the Products group in Add section.

Add the section

  1. In the theme editor, open the page where you want it, usually the home page.
  2. Click Add section and open the Products group.
  3. Choose Featured collections.

Section content

The heading area is a content slot named Header in the block list. Expand it to edit the blocks inside:

  • An Eyebrow: the small label above the heading.
  • A heading, built from an Accent text block so you can italicize part of it for an accent color.
  • A Rich text intro line below the heading.

Edit, reorder, or remove these the same way you would any block. To learn how content slots work, see Sections, blocks, and groups.

Settings

  • Collections: pick the collections to show, in the order you want them. You can add up to 6. Each one becomes a card linking to that collection. Leaving it empty shows placeholder cards so you can build the layout; fill it in before you publish.
  • Button label: the text on the call-to-action pill inside each collection card (it also feeds each card's accessible name). The default is View collection.

Common settings

Featured collections uses the standard Color, Padding, Margin, and Visibility controls. See Common section settings.

Tips

  • A card uses the collection's image. Set one in the Shopify admin under Products > Collections, or the card falls back to the first product's image, then to a placeholder.
  • The layout rebalances to the number of collections, on a 12 column grid. Two collections show as two half width plates, three as equal thirds in one row, four as a two row mosaic (a wider plate, two narrower ones, then a wider one again), and five or six as a uniform four across grid. So the row stays even at every count, but the shape changes as you add cards.
  • To feature individual products instead of collections, use the Featured products section.
