Promotional Sections

Freedom includes several specialized sections designed to boost engagement and conversions. While Testimonials is a standalone section, the Countdown Timer and Newsletter are specialized presets of the versatile standard Section, giving you extensive design control.

Countdown Timer


This section is designed to create urgency for sales, product drops, or events.

This section is a preset of the standard Section, pre-configured with a Countdown timer block. Click on this block to access the core settings:

  • Date & Time: Enter the expiry date in YYYY-MM-DD format and the time in HH:MM (24-hour format).

  • Visuals: You can toggle Show days (to display or hide the day counter) and Show digits background (to add a solid shape behind the numbers for better contrast).

  • Size: Adjust the Timer size slider (range: 50 to 100) to scale the timer relative to the surrounding text.

  • Custom colors: Toggle Apply custom digits color or Apply custom digits background to override the section's color scheme and apply specific colors to the timer digits.

  • Expiry Logic:

    • Hide after time runs out: The section will automatically disappear from the store when the timer hits zero.

    • Expired message: If the section remains visible, this custom message will replace the timer (e.g., "The offer has ended").

Newsletter


A section designed to capture email signups.

Like the Countdown Timer, this is a preset of the standard Section, built around the Newsletter block. This structure allows for extensive customization:

  • Background: Because it uses the standard section container, you can easily set a Background image or even a Video behind the form to create an immersive experience.

  • Platform: This form automatically connects to the "Customers" tab in your Shopify Admin. Any marketing apps you use (such as Klaviyo or Shopify Email) will sync directly with this list.

Testimonials


Build trust by showcasing customer feedback. Unlike the sections above, this is a dedicated section specifically designed for reviews.

  • Auto-rotate: Enable this to cycle through testimonials automatically. You can adjust the Rotate every speed (in seconds).

  • Content: Each testimonial block supports a Star rating, Author name, Title (e.g., "Verified Buyer"), and the review text.

  • Design: The testimonials appear in a styled box with a subtle radial gradient background to stand out from the rest of the page content.
